The web the net The players well met How do you do with an elvish smile Light goes in Only to make a stronger black Light goes in and life stirs But oh, alas Light goes in It gets taken and quickly turned to black I was only trying to be a light And make it bright enough to see by Enough to see by I couldn't make it bright Should have looked straight And heeded all the signs Oh they were there End maker Golden it's true But after the show Hands that played love End maker Threw down your ace In some tired old game No-one knew was in play But you love I was only trying to give you light And make it bright enough to see by Enough to see by I couldn't make it bright The web the net The players well met How do you do with an elvish smile The web the net the players well met How do you do It's been a long while (spoken) There had always been two They made their whole world on their own They were reckless and restless But good enough for the task at hand He was steadfast, earthy and likely to get mad She was kind of fizzy, excitable or sad They made a complement for one another Building mountains, flats and rolling greens And ways between The two had never seen past the outside Into the darkness Shade made by other Then it was past He was gone from her And they were looking Everywhere

Knife 02:40
I’ve got a special knife Laser precise I’ve got a special knife And practically painless Just needs a little trust To cut out the dark parts I’ll use it on you if you let me close enough I won’t hurt you I won’t hurt you I won’t hurt you though you may feel some pain I won’t hurt you I won’t hurt you I won’t hurt you though you may feel some pain Cut out the dark parts and let you out Cut out the dark parts and let you out I’ve got a special knife Laser precise I’ve got a special knife And practically painless Just needs a little trust To cut out the dark parts I’ll use it on you if you let me close.

Just keep calm While I untie the knots I'll get them looser bit by bit And I won't stop Please don't struggle now Take a breath Count to ten I'll be steady till the end It just takes time Take a walk around the block Drive your good son to the shops Check your mailbox Watch TV Photograph nice things for free It's only time I'm working at the broken things The parts that bear my name I"m working at the tangled parts No fear, no blame Let me absorb your fears Take your worries Your frights Heavy traffic, parking spots Or lack thereof Find a new toy, online shops Paint little cars, kept in a box Blend the morning, coffee three Then make her walk naturally It's only time It's only time It's only time

I know the temperature Of the morning air By the joy of proximity And time with no time I know the air I know the steps of spring By the order Of the blooms I gave to you I know the softest violet hue I know the signs I know the time By the beauty now I gave to you then I know the time I know the colour blue By the gums outline I know the clouds By magnitudes and height I know the horizon far By the way I think of home I know these kinds of things By my love When I fly to you When I fly to you When I fly to you When I fly to you When I fly to you

You won’t hear me ask you if it’s right I know what it’s like the other side You won’t see me kiss the day goodnight I will meet you only in the light No more losing ground Not for us Not this time around Take in everyone That we can She was trying to guide it to her dream The clay was unaccustomed to her hands She had yet to find the surest way To make perfection from the falling clay She was just trying to make good things come true With parts and pieces bending upside down He just knew he’s found the surest way To keep from getting caught in falling clay

about

This new EP has a bit more experimentation with sounds and atmospheres than our previous releases as I was playing with a new musical toy - a Korg Volca FM synthesiser and I was also trying out some new recording and song writing techniques. "Minor Exotica" has perhaps vague hints of Bollywood. "Knife" could be a horror movie theme. "It's Only Time" and "The Temperature" are I don't know, electronic folk ballads?? Clay is an atmospheric piano coda, an exhale of breath.
This release includes probably my favourite song that we've written, a ballad called The Temperature. This song was written at a time when both of us, entirely coincidentally, happened to be totally laid out with bizarrely similar and horrible nerve pain afflictions. The title of the song at the time was also very topical given the weather and clear climate change signals we'd had here in Sydney and The Blue Mountains since the back end of last year. In my little town up in the Mountains we'd had 113 days of nearly constant rain over 3 months, while many areas in our state of New South Wales and Queensland above us had been hit by multiple "once in a generation floods" in just a matter of a few weeks...

about

Cat Came Back Sydney, Australia

When Bandcamp first featured us they described us like this - "This Australian duo excel at writing glitchy bedroom pop songs, ornamented with twinkling keys", so that's us apparently....
Ourselves, we'd probably tell you we're an experimental pop duo from Sydney Australia with one foot (Gina) in the city and the other (Graeme) up in the Blue Mountains.
